[FōMū] ice cream is made from scratch with carefully sourced, plant-based ingredients. Our signature ice creams are made with coconut milk and a blend of organic, natural sweeteners. Our products are all natural, preservative-free and made by hand, with no shortcuts. We peel and chop fresh avocados, bananas, and corn. We make our own house made habanero and fresh mint extracts. We bake all of our own brownies, cookies, and other inclusions from scratch in our bake shop. We churn our ice cream using little air to create a creamy, gelato-like consistency, resulting in a pure-tasting and silky-textured bite.
Each of our signature flavors, rotating specials, and seasonal flavors are made in small batches to ensure that every hand-packed scoop or pint is as fresh and delicious as possible. In addition to our signature coconut base, we also use a variety of scratch-made almond, cashew, and fruit-based blends for our limited batch offerings.

In 2014 Willem Sodderland ate a special kind of seaweed on holiday and mistook it for pasta. An idea was born that has become Seamore, a company that is turning seaweed into an everyday food. It started harvesting spaghetti-like seaweed on the coasts of Ireland and Brittany and selling it across Europe, Australia and – soon – Japan as ‘I sea pasta’. Recently, Seamore launched I sea bacon, a 100% seaweed that turns into bacon when you fry it. This food startup is overcoming the western world’s scepticism about sea vegetables by creating products that look, taste and behave like traditional food favourites but are sustainable, nutritious and carry no baggage. Seamore is forerunner in a whole new food category that has the potential to become a sustainable source of protein, carbohydrate, minerals and vitamins. In June of 2016, Seamore won the San Francisco Foodbytes Competition for best food startup. Seamore is looking to launch its products in the US in 2017.

Good food is kind to people, animals, the environment, and especially tastebuds. That’s exactly the kind of food we’ve been making at Tofurky for more than 35 years.
iV 2017 is brought to you in part by:
The Harvard Vegan Society (HVS), co-organizer
The Food Literacy Project (FLP) at Harvard, co-organizer
The Council for Student Sustainability Leaders (CSSL) at Harvard, co-organizer
The groundwork for the iV Conference was first laid in the Fall of 2011 after leaders of the peer organizations comprising this conference initiated their plan to build a new vegan conference that would occupy a unique and important niche. After a few months, the groups had developed the conference’s first meeting which took place at Penn in March 2012. Since that time, the conference has grown in scope, attendance, and media visibility. Please click below for summaries of the previous years' conferences.
